Do not infringe the PBR!

The spring sowing season is approaching and the demand for sowing material of spring varieties is growing. We would like to remind you that sowing purchased non-certified seeds or seed potatoes of a PBR protected variety (e.g. from an advertisement on the Internet, from a market or popular “neighborhood exchange”) infringes the exclusive right of the breeder. For sowing, you shall use only certified seeds or seed potatoes, marked with an official label and purchased from a licensed dealer. You can also use material from your own harvest, remembering to pay the FSS fee.

The PBR also infringes the offering or selling for sowing of non-certified material. Anyone who wants to place seed on the market should be registered at the Main Inspectorate of Plant Health And Seed Inspection (Państwowa Inspekcja Ochrony Roślin i Nasiennictwa – PIORiN) and obtain a written license from the breeder whose variety will be sold.

We also write about infringements of the exclusive right here.
