On May 28, 2026, a ceremonial celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing (Centralny Ośrodek Badania Odmian Roślin Uprawnych, COBORU) took place in Słupia Wielka, Poland. The event brought together representatives of public administration, the scientific community, and the seed breeding industry, who jointly celebrated six decades of activity of one of the most important institutions supporting the development of Polish agriculture.

During the anniversary celebration, COBORU’s achievements to date were summarized and the Centre’s key role in the registration of crop varieties, the protection of plant breeders’ right, and conducting post-registration variety testing was emphasized. The ceremony also provided an opportunity to present directions for the future development of the institution, which has supported Polish agricultural producers and the seed sector for six decades.

Also among the invited guests was Dr. Michał Rokicki, CEO of Agencja Nasienna Sp. z o.o., who participated in the anniversary celebrations and congratulated Director of COBORU, Prof. Dr. Hab. Henryk Bujak, on the 60th anniversary.
